City of Tupelo takes on the largest parks and recreation energy efficiency project in the state of Mississippi with Schneider Electric

DALLAS, November 20, 2015 – Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management and automation, today announced the start of construction on a $5 million energy savings performance contract (ESPC) project with the City of Tupelo, Miss. The project will transform the city’s buildings and community areas to improve the quality of life for residents and promote local economic development. It is expected to reduce the City of Tupelo’s utility budget by 18 percent, saving more than $140,000 in annual energy costs or $2.8 million over the life of the project.
