Interlocked Receptacle Switches

Provides electrical connection to heavy-duty portable equipment. The interlock ensure equipment connections cannot be made or broken when the switch is in the "ON" position.

The interlock receptacle switches offer is built upon the robust Heavy Duty Safety Switch platform that has led the industry for over 100 years. These switches are fitted with Appleton Powertite ™, Crouse-Hinds Style 2 Arktite ™ or Hubbellock ™ receptacles. The switches support three-phase four-wire applications. The fourth wire is connected to the switch equipment grounding terminal and is not a solid neutral termination.

    • Short Circuit Current Rating for non-fusible switches is 10kAIR maximum when protected by Class H, K, J, R or T fuses


    • The Heavy Duty Interlocking Safety Switch's Interlocking linkage between the receptacle and switch mechanism provides an additional layer of operator safety;
    • prevents insertion or removal of the mating plug while the Heavy Duty Interlocking Receptacle Safety Switch is in the "ON" position
    • prevents insertion of any plug other than the specified mating plug.
    • Short Circuit Current Ratings are available in the Digest and Catalog.
    • Visible blade switches for positive "OFF" indication.
    • Optional viewing window allows visual verification of blade position without opening door.
    • Red and black handle indicates the ON (red) or OFF (black) condition of the switch.
    • Dual cover interlock prevents the cover from being opened when the switch is ON and prevents the switch from being turned ON when the cover is open.
    • Handle lock-off provision for multiple padlocks -- "OFF"
