Ask a Question

What is a 1A/1B auxiliary contact?

Issue:
What does 1A/1B mean in reference to aux contacts?

Product Line:
Circuit Breaker Accessories

Resolution:
The "A" contact is an auxiliary contact that will be closed when the breaker is closed and open when the breaker is open or tripped (normally open). The "1B" contact will be open when the breaker is closed, and closed when the breaker is open or tripped (normally closed). 2A/2B and 3A/3B are multiples of the 1A/1B arrangement.
