System loses control power when the utility source is lost

Published date: 24 September 2019

Issue:
System loses control power when the utility source is lost

Product Line:
UPS

Cause:
After removing the UPS then putting it back in place, they plugged the cords powering the critical ATO loads (i.e. UPS loads through the control power transfer scheme) into the receptacles intended for non-critical loads.
Therefore, when the utility source was lost, there was no control power povided by the UPS.

Resolution:
The solution is to plug the cords powering the critical ATO loads into the main outlet groups that are intended for critical loads.
