How do I wire and program an ATV21 or ATV212 to automatically run after power is restored after a power event?

Issue:
How do I wire and program an ATV21 or ATV212 to automatically run after power is restored after a power event?

Product Line:
Altivar 21 and Altivar 212 drives

Environment:
All

Cause:
Doesn't want to have to give a run command to get the drive running again after power event. Drive may be in a not-easily-accessed location such as on a rooftop

Resolution:
Perform the following two steps:
  1. Put a jumper wire between the P24 terminal and the F terminal (this will make the run command always present by having 24VDC always supplied to the run forward command when the drive is powered up)
  2. Change the CnoD parameter to '0' for terminal control

Unlike many other Altivar drives, the ATV21 and ATV212 drives don't have a 'Control Type' parameter that can be set to 'Level' or 'Transition'.
