Why would the threads on an LGA breaker lug strip out?

Product Line:
Powerpact L I-Line breaker

It is not possible to say for sure why they are stripping but here are some possible causes:
1. If an air or electric impact wrench is used, they can easily exceed torque specs.
2. If any lubrication is used on the threads, such as no-ox grease, they will strip.  No-ox grease is not required or recommended for any Schneider Electric circuit breaker lugs.
3. If small wire is used, it will be helpful to have it centered so the pressure is distributed evenly on the screw threads.

Other than that, if applied according to instructions they should be OK.  If manufacturing error is suspected they can be returned for evaluation.
