How do you set up a run permissive on the S-Flex enclosed or ATV212 drives?

Published date: 20 August 2019

Issue:
Setting up a run permissive on the S-Flex enclosed or ATV212 drives.

Product Line:
Altivar ATV212 and S-Flex enclosed

Environment:
All

Cause:
The ATV212 drive is not shutting down when they open the permissive input on R.

Resolution:
Check the programming
Find F------ codes enter
Find F100= this needs to be set to 0
Find F112= this if the R input assigned as the permissive. Set this to 1
Now when you open the R digital input the drive will shut down and display OFF.

For S-flex units.  Terminals 1 and 2, 2 and 3, and 3 and 4 have jumper from the factory that are normally used for damper end switch or fire/freeze stat inputs.
If any one of those are not being utilized, you can remove the jumper from one of those inputs and tie your safety (permissive) wires accordingly.
