Ask a Question

What does the ``K`` stand for in the third position of a Powerpact breaker part number?

Product Line:
Circuit Breakers

Environment:
Electrical Distribution Equipment

Resolution:
The ``K`` in the third position of the breaker part number indicates that the I-Line plug-on assembly is mounted at the ``OFF`` end of the breaker, and the lugs are mounted at the ``ON`` end. This replaces the ``MT`` suffix on the Legacy breakers.  I-Line circuit breakers with the letter "K" in the third position of their catalog number are not to be applied as branch breakers in I-Line panelboards.
