Ask a Question

Can the ride through time be adjusted for the undervoltage fault on the Altivar 58?

There are some adjustments that can be made to affect how the drive responds to loss of line voltage.
The input phase loss fault can be disabled. (IPL in the FLt menu)
Catch on fly (FLr in the FLt menu) allows for a smooth restart. If the load is still turning the drive does not need to start at 0 Hz again.
Also, Controlled Stop (STP in FLt menu) allows control of how the drives reacts to input phase loss. The MMS mode allows maintenance of DC bus voltage. The DC bus is kept energized by regenerating the kinetic energy from the machine inertia.
