Can a 9012GNG5 be modified for use above 250F for high steam temperatures ? <br />

Yes, use a 9049A7A steam capillary with it. Pressure restriction is 250PSIG. Higher pressures can cause superheated steam to overtemp the switch components. Although we formerly offered this product, the 9049A7A steam capillary is obsolete and no longer available. Users may construct one themselves, by creating a capillary tube coil 10 feet in length, attaching one end through a flared fitting to the pressure switch port, and the other to the monitoring point on the steam system. The 10 foot coiled tube acts as a condensor, cooling the steam to an acceptable temperature level.
