Ask a Question

Are the EZM Metering Branch Devices and the MP Meter-Pak Devices considered "hot sequence" or "cold sequence" type metering?

Product Design

Product Line:
EZM Metering

Tenant breaker location

Application or Utility requirements

Both the EZM and MP Metering devices are considered "hot sequence" metering. Hot sequence metering means that the tenant circuit breaker is on the load side of the meter and DOES NOT 'De-Energize' the meter socket.(or the tenant breaker does NOT turn OFF the meter socket)

NOTE: Cold Sequence metering would be the opposite, which means the tenant breaker would on the line side of the meter and would 'De-Energize' the meter socket.(or the tenant breaker would turn OFF the meter socket)
Square D does NOT offer Cold Sequence EZM or MP metering.
