Can the cover of a LA400F, Series E01, E02 or E03 flush mount circuit breaker enclosure be changed to adapt the enclosure to a surface mount application?

The cover from a LA400S will physically fit onto the LA400F enclosure. A replacement cover ordered as a repair part would not include any labeling nor wiring diagram. Since the UL manifest is located on the wiring diagram, this change is not recommended.
