The recommended approach for your initial sales contact is via completion of our communication kit describing your company and products or services in non-confidential terms to the appropriate Schneider Electric Purchasing commodity manager.

Commodity Managers, Commodity Teams, and Specialized Purchasing Teams have been established for the purpose of defining commodity strategies and developing the appropriate relationship between Schneider Electric and our suppliers. Each entity is responsible for making decisions that are in the best interest of Schneider Electric, while addressing the unique requirements of each location. The commodity leadership assumes a lead role in this effort and works with other cross functional team members to ensure these objectives are met.

Pre-arranged appointments with the appropriate buying personnel are strongly recommended prior to any visit in order to ensure the best use of both your time and ours.

All procurement related business practice or conduct concerns should be immediately directed to the Director of Strategic Purchasing. All concerns will be addressed promptly with care, respect and confidentiality.

"Cold Calling" is not productive for your sales executives or Schneider Electric's purchasing professionals. Schneider Electric Company makes supplier selection decisions using a commodity management's strategy known as Supply Base By Design. In fact, you may have been directed to the "Contact Us" features on this site by a Manager or Buyer at one of our locations since "Contact Us" is the preferred method for mining supplier information.

Immediate business opportunities are easily identified using the Supply Base By Design process. By completing the brief Supplier Profile we can evaluate if an immediate opportunity exists, or it is in the best interest of both companies to invest the time required to investigate opportunities for the future. Note: You cannot submit partial data....the form will reject your request for submittal.

To begin the process, all you must do is complete the Profile in its entirety and email to the address given below. your Profile will be routed to the appropriate Commodity Manager, Team Leader or Lead Location automatically for consideration. Within ten working days of your submittal you will receive a response from our Supplier Resource Center Webmaster letting you know if there is an immediate opportunity and what will occur next.

If an immediate need does exist you may receive a request for additional information or be asked to complete a face-to-face meeting with the appropriate purchasing contact for future consideration. Be prepared...if you move further in the process, completing our Supplier Selection Process means you will be required to complete an exhaustive set of deliverables, and we make no exceptions.

If no immediate or short-term opportunity exists, we will advise you of this status and archive your Profile in our intranet on-line database for future reference.
