After 2 years as an engineer in North Africa in the hydroelectric sector, Claude Graff joined Merlin Gerin in 1972. His experience covered the full spectrum of sales and business development in the electrical industry, as manager in Lille, Tours and Paris (France).
In 1988 he was appointed Regional VP of Schneider Electric in Paris and was also in charge of medium voltage business and global negotiations with EDF.
He joined the UPS division in 1995, as VP of Asian and European operations, to be part of the creation of the new spin-off company MGE UPS Systems through a successful LBO (Leverage Buy Out).
In 1999, he was appointed COO of MGE UPS. He participated in a second LBO and managed successfully the company through the internet bubble.
In 2002 he became the CEO of MGE UPS leading the company to years of profitable growth.
In July 2006, he was appointed Executive Vice President of Schneider Electric, Secured Power Business Unit.
He is also member of the board of Gimelec (France) and chairman of the French cluster Tenerrdis (pôle de compétitivité) focused on the new technologies of energy.
