What is your current position?

In my current role I manage a team of 10 people – one internal applications engineer and nine external sales engineers who are either product or industry specialists in automation and drives, safety and detection products, food and beverage and water.

What are your chief missions?

My key responsibilities are: to achieve sales targets for automation and drive products and safety and detection products; to develop new business in the food and beverage and water and mining vertical markets; to maintain existing business and to develop project opportunities.

What are your management responsibilities?

Developing my staff is a key responsibility as manager, knowing that I have young engineers on my team. I spend around 40-50% of my time in the field conducting joint calls with them or developing business myself. My background enables me to converse on a technical level with our customers even though I am not a specialist.

What insight can you offer applicants?

I would say, if you’re really interested in working in the energy management industry, have a very close look at Schneider Electric. They’re great people.
