RoHS
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is a European directive that was implemented July 1, 2006. The directive requires the elimination of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and the polybrominated biphenyls, polybrominated diphenyl ethers flame retardents in certain Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) on sale in Europe.
While this directive is mostly oriented to household application and Schneider Electric’s products and equipment are little or indirectly affected, Schneider Electric is fully committed to complying with RoHS.
