Ask a Question

How do I select an appropriate wall mounting bracket for a low voltage general purpose transformer? Please provide an example with a 75T3H.

There are two pieces of information required to select the appropriate wall mounting bracket for a transformer:
1:  What is the weight of the transformer?
2:  Which enclosure is used?

If the transformer is listed in the Digest, you can look up the enclosure number and the weight.

If not in the Digest, then you obtain the information by requesting a drawing from Customer Service.  This drawing will have the appropriate wall mounting bracket listed, as well as the correct weathershield kit for NEMA 3R rating!

If the weight is above 600 pounds, stop here as the wall mounting bracket is only suitable for units 600 pounds or less.

With the weight below 600 pounds, use the enclosure number and the information on page 12-8 of the Digest to obtain the appropriate wall mounting bracket.

Example:  75T3H -- from page 12-3 of the Digest, the unit is 500# and in enclosure 19D.  Since the weight is less than 601#, page 12-8 of the digest indicates  a WMB363-364.
