How was a Cable Modem used in the Obsolete Multi-Link system?

Issue:
Obsolete Product Design features

Product Line:
Obsolete Multi-Link System

Resolution:
Internet access through a Cable Modem (supplied by a local CATV service provider) must go through a two-way splitter at the demarcation point. One coaxial output from the splitter will go to a video distribution device for distribution of the television signal to TV locations. The other coaxial output from the splitter will go to the Cable Modem. The output of the Cable Modem then feeds to the Ethernet input jack (NID - Network Interface Device) of the computer.
