Ask a Question

How can I charge an NW breaker when it is out of the cell? The handle is free and the charge indicator says ``discharged.``

Issue:
Charge NW breaker when racked out of cell

Product Line:
Circuit Breakers
Masterpact NW

Environment:
Electrical Distribution Equipment

Cause:
Need to charge handle while breaker is out of cell or out of service.

Resolution:
You need the metal key that comes with the breaker to defeat the interlock. The key rotates the half-moon metal shaft on the upper left side of the breaker, and slips under the black crank.
