Ask a Question

Will the unit work fine when using a speed reference that is a distance of 2000 ft. away?

To have a speed reference run that far away from the unit would recommend using a current source (e.g. 4 -20ma signal) since it better for long distance runs and don`t have to worry about voltage drop. Will need to make sure voltage for input is sufficient to drive 20ma dc into the impedance (e.g. ATV66 drive has 250ohms and the wire being used is rated for _ _ _ (some value ohms) per 1000ft (need to also note that for dual conductor it is 2 times distance).
