Ask a Question

Do conductors passing thru a Current Transformer (CT) have to enter a specific side of the CT?

Some Current Transformers (CT's) are marked with H1 on one side and H2 on the other

Product Line:
LV Transformers

Applies to Current Transformers (CT's) by SquareD/Schneider Electric

Some applications are polarity specific

Yes, to achieve the proper polarity of the circuit, which is critical in some applications, it is necessary to have the source side of the conductor entering the H1 polarity side of the CT. This is clearly detailed in the installation instructions included with the CT.
