Ask a Question

Can our QED Switchboards ( Indoor or Outdoor) be rated for higher temperature ratings than -40 degree F (-40 degree C) and 185 degree F (85 degree C)?

Issue:
Can our QED Switchboards (N1 or N3R) be rated for higher temperature ratings than -40 degree F (-40 degree C) and 185 degree F (85 degree C)?

Product Line:
QED Switchboards sold and supported in the USA.

Environment:
Ambient temperature ratings

Cause:
Operating temperature

Resolution:
No. There is not an option to add cooling units to our switchboards and there are no options for re-rating the breakers to change the standard temperature
ranges of -40 degree F (-40 degree C) and 185 degree F (85 degree C).

If there is a concern of the ambient temperatures and operating temperatures exceeding the above limits, the switchboard should then be mounted in an air conditioned room.
