What is the CFI2 fault on an Altivar Process Drive?

Product Line:
Altivar Process Drive (ATV630, ATV930, ATV650, ATV950, ATV660, ATV960, ATV680, ATV980)

Environment:
All serial numbers for Altivar Process Drive

Cause:
N/A

Resolution:
The CFI2 is Configuration Transfer Error Fault
Occurs when a configuration file can not be loaded to the device, or the configuration is not compatible with the drive.

Possible Causes:
  • The was an unsuccessful or interrupted configuration file transfer.
  • The stored configuration (HMI) was loaded from an different firmware.
Remedies:
  • Check firmware
    • Firmware should be compatible on both drives
  • Load a compatible configuration.
  • Use SoMove to transfer configuration to an other drive.
  • Perform a factory setting
    • [Main Menu] [File Transfer] [Factory Settings]
