How do I set up an ATV12 to use the dial on the front as a speed reference

To set up the drive to give speed control via the dial on the front:

Firstly make sure that the drive is in REMOTE Configuration mode i.e. the three LED’s to the left of the display are not flashing in sequence. 

If they are, to get back to REMOTE press the MODE button for 3 seconds and then follow the sequence below:
Go to Configuration Mode – My Menu
Down to Reference channel 1 (Fr1) press the center of the JOG DIAL (ENTER)
Then set that to A1U1
Press the escape button until rdY appears.
You can then run the drive by the run and stop buttons on the front of the drive.

To do this Press the run button
Then press the center of the dial  reF appears
Press the center of the dial again 0.0 appears
Then by rotating the dial the speed will increase (the display is a % of the difference between LSP and HSP)
 If the start signal is given via a digital input LI*
In the Full Menu (FULL)
Control Menu CtL- and press the center of the JOG DIAL (ENTER)
Go to Channel Configuration (CHCF) and press the center of the JOG DIAL (ENTER)
Then Separate mode (SEP) and then Command Channel 1 (Cd1) and enter
Make sure it is set to terminals (tEr)
Press the escape button until rdY appears.
Start the drive via the start button.
Then press the center of the dial reF appears
Press the center of the dial again 0.0 appears
Then by rotating the dial the speed will increase (the display is a % of the difference between LSP and HSP)
This setting will remain active until the supply is removed to get back to it just repeat the pressing of the dial.
 
To monitor the Frequency or anything else go to reference mode.
