Ask a Question

Which error class is triggered when a Sercos error happens on a LXM32S?

Issue:
Which error class (0,1,2,3 or 4) is triggered when a Sercos error happens on a LXM32S?
Can we define the error class like we do with other LXM32 drives?

Product:
LXM32S

Resolution:
The LXM32S does not use the DriveCom profile so you cannot specify the error class when a Sercos communication error happens.
The LXM32S uses a special control and status word and only supports the modes CSP, CSV or CST.
If there's a communication problem, the errors can be found in the list E Bxxx.
For general error handling in the application, you can use the Softmotion PLCopen function blocks in SoMachine.
