Issue:
What does the S1 stand for in part number 8502SFO1S1?

Product Line:
8502 NEMA Contactors

Environment:
US Product Lines

Cause:
Can not find it in the Digest

Resolution:
These special contactors were typically used as component contactors in reduced voltage starters.  They have no ratings or terminal markings and could be misapplied.

This particular unit is a special 2-pole Class 8502 Type SFO1 contactor.  It did not have any line or control terminal markings.  Hp ratings were also not printed on the namplate.  One N.O. electrical interlock (9999SX6) in upper left position and one N.C. electrical interlock (9999SX7) in lower right hand position was supplied as standard.  Control power wiring was also omited on this special.
