What is required to convert a Heavy Duty Safety Switch to use Class J fuses?
Heavy Duty Safety Switch
Field assistance with conversion
Need to understand how to convert
Provisions for installing Class J fuses are included in 30A - 400A, 600V and 100A - 400A 240V, fusible Heavy Duty safety switches. Conversion to Class J spacing requires relocating the load side fuse base assembly (or assemblies, as applicable) from the standard Class H fuse location to an alternate position as marked in the switch enclosure. Switches rated 600A, 240V or 600V, require the addition of an adapter kit, catalog number H600J.
