Video: Explaining the H prefix on Square D HL100 and HL300 limit switches

The prefix H is for high temperature range: 0 to +350 degrees F (177 degrees C), and requires the use of the metal front cover.
The minimum temperature 0 degrees F is based on the absence of freezing moisture or water.

The H series limit switches are designed for very harsh environments and are the highest temperature rated off-the-shelf limit switches offered by Schneider Electric.
