Ask a Question

What is the purpose of the red ``T`` shaped locking wedge that is provided on reversing D-Line contactors?

This holds the contacts in that contactor stationary to protect the interlock mechanism from possible damage during transit. If the reversing unit should take a hard impact, the interlock pin could be sheared off from both sets of contacts trying to close at the same time.
