Ask a Question

What is the difference between instantaneous, trip indicating and electrical fault indicating auxiliary contacts on the GV7 starters?

Product Line:

Tesys GV Manual Starter and Protectors

Resolution:
Instantaneous contacts change status with the opening and closing of the (power contacts) starter poles.

Trip indication contacts change state when the starter has tripped due to an overload, short-circuit, differential fault or phase imbalance, operation of undervoltage trip module, shunt trip, or by initiating the `push to trip`` button. The contact resets when the starter is reset.

Electrical fault indication contacts change state when the starter has tripped due to an overload, short-circuit, differential fault or phase imbalance. The contact resets when the starter is reset.
