Will the new ?J? enclosures allow application of breakers at their maximum interrupting capacity?

No. There are limitations to the maximum Amperes Interrupting Ration the J enclosure will support.
At 240 Vac the HD and JD have a maximum rating of 25,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 240Vac the HG and JD have a maximum rating of 65,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 240vac the HJ and JJ have a maximum rating of 100,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 240vac the HL and JL have a maximum rating of 125,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 480 Vac the HD and JD have a maximum rating of 18,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 480Vac the HG and JD have a maximum rating of 35,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 480vac the HJ and JJ have a maximum rating of 65,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
At 600 Vac the HD and JD have a maximum rating of 14,000 AIR when installed in the J enclosure.
