Ask a Question

How can the Altivar 58 drive be commanded to stop remotely using the I-O terminals when the drive is not in terminal command?

Freewheel stop and Fast Stop functions will stop the drive even if the drive is not in terminal command.
This is true in keypad command as well as serial communications control.

Program a logic input (LIx) for freewheel stop (NST) or Fast Stop (FST) in the I-O menu.

Connect a set of dry contacts between the+24 terminal and the logic input used for the stop command. The drive will stop when the input is de-energized.
