Why are switches referred to as interrupters in the product selector?

This product selector contains three products. One of which is the Visi/Vac Circuit Interrupter. The Visi/Vac Circuit Interrupter is not a switch, but a unique device similar to a circuit breaker. It should not be considered or called a switch. Therefore, the term interrupter includes the HVL & HVL/cc Switches and also the Visi/Vac Circuit Interrupter.
