Ask a Question

My QO-GFI 2 pole is nuisance tripping. There is some ground fault leakage but not near 5mA, but the leakage is partly high frequency. What can I do to resolve this problem?

In March 1999, Square D implemented a high frequency ``rolloff`` circuit to the 2 pole QO-GFI. This circuit reduces the sensitivity to high frequency ground fault leakage. The solution is to replace breakers built before March 1999 with the current design. If you do not know the age of the breaker, call Square D with the date code for age determination. The two letter date code is located on a label near the load wires. The label is about 1/4`` x 1/4``. The date code is a faint pink ink overlay.
