Who provides support for Class 8807 Type CSI Ramsey products?

The 8807 CSI (Current Source Inverters - i.e., torque control) drives were rated from 30 to 400hp at 460vac for constant torque applications.

They used SCRs on both the converter and inverter section producing a six step current waveform on the output. Additionally, they were designed with regenerative breaking built in, 200% torque capability, and operation up to 120hz.

These devices were obsoleted in the late 1980s and there is no support for them. Users MAY be able to replace these devices using sensorless or full vector control drives. It is suggested the application be reviewed, understood, and quoted based on requirements.
